Black Bears Win in Extras
The Fraser Valley Black Bears overcame a good performance by Sandy Springs center fielder Pancho Figueroa to knock off Sandy Springs, 13-12, at The Coliseum. Figueroa went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 4 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Black Bears bumped their record to 71-55 with this latest triumph.

In a night filled with big hits, none was bigger than the one from Fraser Valley right fielder Colin Carpenter, the 22-year old right fielder . He collected his 53rd hit of the season in the top of the 12th inning. In the game, Carpenter was 2-7 with 2 singles and a walk.

"We take it day by day here," said Carpenter, "and today was a good one for us."
