Hackers Lose, 7-5, at Outlander Park
|
The Rams had to overcome a good performance from Silicon Valley pitcher Tim Carson to claim a 7-5 win at Outlander Park. Carson went 5.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. Callum Butler, credited with the save, is now 12 for 14 in save opportunities. The first-place Rams, at 71-54, now lead their division by 2½ games.
Toshio Matsuzaki, who is tied for 7th in the ACL in total bases with 204, aided the Frisco cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman was 1-2 with 2 walks.
"We take it day by day here," said Matsuzaki, "and today was a good one for us."
