Jail Birds Lose Again, 8-4, to Beetlecats
|
Hilario Martínez was instrumental in his team's 8-4 triumph over the Newark Jail Birds. The right fielder was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats. The win was Jesús Tobías's in relief. His record improves to 7-2. Steve Burton took the loss for Newark. The 5th-place Jail Birds have lost 6 straight games.
