Victory Pushes Rams Record to 68-53
|
The Frisco Rams did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Boise Hawks at Basque Block Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Finley Goddier, who captured player of the game honors. At 68-53, Frisco is in first place in the Cory Lidle League Lou Piniella League.
The Rams got a big at-bat from left fielder Oliver Mullinger. For the game, Mullinger was 1-4, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the second, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 51st hit of the season gave Frisco a 3-1 lead.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Goddier told the Frisco Today.
