Rhinos Need Extra Frames to Get Past Sasquatch
|
The Seattle Sasquatch got a superb performance from pitcher Matt Nolan. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Rubber City. The Rhinos won the game, 4-3. In spite of the loss, Nolan was named the player of the game. He threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball. Shinzo Sasaki earned save number 2. The Rhinos keep rolling, raising their record to 4-1.
This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the tenth, Pedro Pérez hit a sacrifice fly. The Rhinos took the lead, 4-3.
"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Larry Johnson, the Rubber City manager.
