Red Bulls Bang Out 6-4 Win Versus Silicon Valley
|
Riverside and Silicon Valley duked it out at San Jose Municipal Stadium and the Red Bulls came out victorious.
The Red Bulls had to overcome a fine performance from Silicon Valley pitcher Ken Stein to grab a 6-4 win at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Stein allowed 2 earned runs over 6 innings. Ben Robinson was the winning pitcher. Over 5 innings, he allowed 1 run on 6 hits, with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts.
Hiroshige Inouye aided the Riverside cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 3 with a walk.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Inouye told the Riverside Times.
Riverside is 4th in the Cory Lidle League Lou Piniella League with a record of 57-60.
