Storm Troopers Get Road Win, 7-5
|
The San Antonio Storm Troopers topped the Carson City Mustang, 7-5, in Bob Moose League action at Cowboys Stadium. The player of the game was San Antonio third baseman Jesse Sutton. Pablo Sánchez picked up the win, improving his season record to 7-2. He struck out 3 in 5 innings. The Storm Troopers bumped their record to 62-55 with this latest triumph.
Justin Jacks helped out the San Antonio cause in the top of the third inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the designated hitter was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Sutton told reporters after the game.
