Late Rally by Hackers Secures Win
The Silicon Valley Hackers had to overcome a big game from Riverside second baseman Mário Arnada to leave San Jose Municipal Stadium with a 6-4 victory. Arnada went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Hackers bumped their record to 64-50 with this latest triumph.

Had John Farley not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Farley hit a 2-run double. That made the score 6-4, in favor of the Hackers.

Farley said afterward that the win gets the team one step closer to its goal.
