Phoenix starter Rennie Hill had a strong outing against the Pacifica Shamrocks at McCormick Field. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 4-2 win. The Lights raised their record to 54-57.
Justin Nichols's at-bat in the top of the fourth inning was a big one for Phoenix. Coming to bat with one out, a runner on 2nd and Phoenix leading 2-1, the first baseman reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Hill told the Phoenix News.
