Multi-HR Game for Wright in 10-7 Win
|
Wolverines left fielder Bob Wright put his stamp on his team's 10-7 win over the Madison Beehive. Wright slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4 for Wichita in the contest. Al Hrabosky Jr. was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 27 of 30 save opportunities. Wichita now has a 3-game win streak.
It could have been a different outcome for Wichita, had it not been for Shane Gross, the 24-year old catcher . Gross contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth inning to put Wichita up, 8-7.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Wichita manager Dave Moran.
