Enriquez goes 3-for-5 in Wolverines Win
|
The Wichita Wolverines defeated the Topeka Predators, 10-4, in Bob Moose League action at Howling Park, with Wichita right fielder Francisco Enriquez named player of the game. Carlos Muńóz got the win, improving to 4-3. He worked 6 innings, giving up 3 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3. The first-place Wolverines, at 63-51, now lead their division by 3 games.
Lloyd Noland aided the Wichita cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the third. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Noland. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
