Sandy Springs third baseman Brent Nordstrom had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-5, to Spokane at The Coliseum. Nordstrom was 2-3 with a double and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Tokuhei Yano notched his 14th save in 18 chances. The Bulldogs, now 60-52, have won 7 in a row.
Had Clyde Lewis not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Lewis hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Bulldogs.
Lewis told a Spokane Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
