Rats Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
|
Madison first baseman Ji-hoon Park had a good game, even if his team did not. The Beehive dropped a 5-4 decision to Rock River at The Hive. Park went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Rock River reliever Josh Hunt got the win, raising his record to 5-3. Duane Fraser was tagged with the loss. The first-place Rats have a one-game lead in their division.
The Rats got a big at-bat from left fielder Kien Thean. For the game, Thean went 1-5 with a home run. In the top of the tenth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Rock River a 5-4 lead.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Thean said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
