Spartans Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
|
San Antonio catcher Santiago López had a good game, even if his team did not. The Storm Troopers dropped a 9-8 decision to Sandy Springs at The Coliseum. López was 2 for 3 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The Spartans have now won 4 straight.
The Spartans got a big at-bat from first baseman Ebrahim Magsi. For the game, Magsi was 1-2 with a double. In the bottom of the tenth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season gave Sandy Springs a 9-8 lead.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Magsi. "And not try to do too much."
