Multi-HR Game for Reyes in 13-6 Win
|
The Frisco Rams beat the Phoenix Lights, 13-6, at UFO Field. The win was largely due to the efforts of left fielder Augusto Reyes, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 8 runs and scored twice. The winner was Frisco reliever Juan Galindo, now 2-0. The loser was Alex Rosario. Phoenix has now lost 4 in a row.
The Rams got a big at-bat from center fielder Jerome Léonard. For the game, Léonard went 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. In the top of the eighth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 75th hit of the season gave Frisco a 8-6 lead.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Léonard told reporters after the game.
