The Sandy Springs Spartans beat the Carson City Mustang, 5-3, at Cowboys Stadium. Sandy Springs second baseman Justin Duncan earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. The Spartans bumped their record to 58-50 with this latest triumph.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the top of the sixth inning. That's when first baseman Harry Corbitt hit a double. The Spartans went on to win.
