Predators Lose, 8-5, at Long Island Stadium
|
Long Island Ducks starter António Domínguez pitched a strong game against the Topeka Predators at Long Island Stadium, leading the Ducks to a 8-5 win. In 5.2 innings, Domínguez surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 3. He allowed 3 runs. Jian-guo Yang earned his 3rd save in 7 chances.
With two out in the bottom of the third, Jess Burhoe stroked a go-ahead 2-run single. It was his 10th hit of the season and put Long Island in front, 4-3.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Burhoe said.
Long Island, at 49-58, sits in last place in the Bob Moose League Bruce Bochy Division.
