Salas, Beetlecats Humble Tune-Ups
The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats beat the Youngstown Tune-Ups, 12-1, at Bloomfield Road. Buzzard's Bay shortstop Joaquín Salas earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5. The Beetlecats bumped their record to 56-53 with this latest triumph.

Salas put Buzzard's Bay up, 7-0, when he hit a 3-run home run off Luis Vásquez in the bottom of the fourth. His 2nd home run of the season helped the Beetlecats capture the win.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Salas.
