The Pacifica Shamrocks did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Frisco Rams at McCormick Field. Nobody did more than first baseman John Pinnock, who captured player of the game honors. The first-place Shamrocks, at 72-33, now lead their division by 18½ games.

Taylor Bastien was the walk-off hero for Pacifica. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Shamrocks second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Pacifica manager Joe Leftwich.
