Wichita played host to Long Island at the friendly confines of Howling Park.

The Wichita Wolverines topped the Long Island Ducks, 7-4, with left fielder Bob Wright playing a big role. Wright was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Wolverines in the win. Wichita has now won 3 straight, while the Ducks have lost 3 in a row.

Early in the game, Wright had a 2-run home run for Wichita. It was his 18th home run of the season and put the Wolverines on top, 4-2.
