Spartans Get One-Run Win at Youngstown
The Sandy Springs Spartans got a stellar performance from pitcher Shinsuke Suzuki, who handcuffed the Youngstown offense en route to a 3-2 win at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum. Suzuki went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 5, and struck out 6. His record improves to 2-6. Jae-bok Han got the save, his 8th in 10 chances.

Shoji Hosokawa, who was drafted in the three round of the 2030 draft, helped out the Sandy Springs cause in the top of the third inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 4. He drove in 2 runs.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Suzuki. "I think we're going to keep proving that."

The Spartans bumped their record to 53-47 with this latest triumph.
