Carpenter Hits 2 home runs in Black Bears Win
|
The Fraser Valley Black Bears topped the Boise Hawks by the score of 7-1, with the largest share of the credit going to catcher Colin Carpenter. Carpenter was 2 for 2 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Black Bears. The Black Bears bumped their record to 53-46 with this latest triumph.
Carpenter had a key at-bat for Fraser Valley early in the game. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and gave Fraser Valley an early 2-0 lead.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Carpenter told reporters after the game.
