Ducks Raise Rally Flag, Beat Rock River, 6-2

Long Island beat Rock River on the strength of starter António Domínguez's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a 6-2 win. Jian-guo Yang got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. Takamasa Oki converted his 17th save in 22 tries.
Nick DeLuca drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances for Long Island. The 21-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Eddie Zuniga. It was his 30th walk of the season.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," DeLuca told the Long Island Daily News.
The Ducks improve their record to 44-51 with the win over Rock River.
