Shamrocks Win at Phoenix, 7-4
|
Pacifica and Phoenix duked it out at UFO Field and the Shamrocks came out victorious.
Shamrocks catcher Balik Godambe put his stamp on his team's 7-4 win over the Phoenix Lights. Godambe went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs for Pacifica in the contest. Pacifica reliever Royce Leveque picked up the win, bumping his record to 4-2. Arturo Mercado was collared with the loss.
It could have been a different outcome for Pacifica, had it not been for Howard Jennings, the 22-year old second baseman . Jennings contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Pacifica up, 6-3.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Jennings.
The Shamrocks own a robust 66-24 mark.
