Bombers Fall Short at Maple
|
The Maple Marauders scored a 6-5 win versus the South Carolina Bombers at Legends Park. Maple catcher Motonobu Yamasaki nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. The Marauders have an impressive 31-11 record.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Maple right fielder Conor Borlase, facing Christian Wallace, had a run-scoring ground out. It gave the Marauders the 6-5 win.
In postgame comments to the Maple Citizen, Borlase said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
