The Boise Hawks picked up a win at Basque Block Field, knocking off the Frisco Rams, 2-1. On the mound for Boise was right-hander Sean Nichols, who played a pivotal role in the win. Hiroo Okimura picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-6. Callum Butler was tagged with the loss. The Hawks bumped their record to 44-43 with this latest triumph.
Anastasio Pineda was the walk-off hero for Boise. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Hawks center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Pineda. "And not try to do too much."
