Black Bears Prevail, 6-4, Over Rock River

The Rock River Rats got a sterling performance from left fielder Harry May, but the Black Bears still prevailed, 6-4. May was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Shu-de Tian earned his 20th save in 24 chances. Fraser Valley is now 46-43, Rock River 51-37.
Logan Moran helped out the Fraser Valley cause in the top of the third inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the left fielder went 2 for 4 with a double.
"Enjoyed this one," Moran told the Fraser Valley Daily News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
