Neal Thacker helped his team muscle past the Boise Hawks, 5-2. In the game, the Frisco designated hitter was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. The Rams bumped their record to 50-40 with this latest triumph.

It could have been a different outcome for Frisco, had it not been for Kunihiro Shibata, the 22-year old second baseman . Shibata contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put Frisco up, 2-0.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Frisco manager Will Bartlett. "It's usually not just one thing."
