Monarchs Bang Out 8-5 Win Versus Buzzard's Bay
|
The Marysville Monarchs beat the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats, 8-5, at Mitts Fieldhouse. Marysville left fielder Arvid Schwartz earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 times. With the win, the Monarchs improved to 40-45.
Won-keun Park aided the Marysville cause with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Schwartz.
