The Sandy Springs Spartans beat the Spokane Bulldogs, 11-8, at The Coliseum. Sandy Springs second baseman Justin Duncan earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The Spartans bumped their record to 46-41 with this latest triumph.

Shoji Hosokawa, who is tied for 2nd in the FFL in home runs with 18, aided the Sandy Springs cause with a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter went 1-3 with a double and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Duncan.
