Mustang Need Extras to Top Snaps
|
Cincinnati first baseman Evan Marks was sensational. He went 2-2 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Carson City beat the Snaps, 6-4. Marks was named the player of the game despite the loss. Keith Noble got credit for the win, improving to 7-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The Mustang bumped their record to 45-40 with this latest triumph.
Kyung-jin Yun's hit in the top of the 11th was a game-changer. With no one out, he rapped a circle change from Armando Hernández for a run-scoring single. It put Carson City in front, 5-4.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Yun told the Carson City Today.
