Hornets Stun Tornadoes, 5-4

The rain could not keep the Debris Field crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.
The Eureka Hornets picked up a win at Debris Field, knocking off the Kansas City Tornadoes, 5-4. Starting pitcher Mitsunari Kobayashi, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Elliott Rogers sewed up the save, his 10th.
Eureka used the clutch hitting of Roberto Santiso to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Hornets the lead, 5-4. For the game, Santiso had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
"Feels good to get the job done," Santiso said after the game.
Eureka has now won 3 in a row.
