Victory Pushes Storm Troopers Record to 41-40
|
The San Antonio Storm Troopers got a good effort from starter Dennis Hale in defeating the Phoenix Lights at The Clone Army. The final score was 5-1. En-guo Guan, credited with the save, is now 1 for 2 in save opportunities. The Storm Troopers bumped their record to 41-40 with this latest triumph.
The Storm Troopers got a big at-bat from center fielder Curt Sweet. For the game, Sweet went 1-3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 13th hit of the season gave San Antonio a 2-0 lead.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Hale.
