The San Antonio Storm Troopers got a superb performance from pitcher Jesús Espinosa, but the Boise Hawks still won the game, 4-3. Espinosa was named the player of the game despite the loss. He came in in relief and pitched to 24 batters . Boise reliever Andy Ryan picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Jesús Espinosa absorbed the loss. The Hawks now own a record of 36-39.

The Hawks got a big at-bat from left fielder José Román. For the game, Román went 1-2 with a walk. In the bottom of the 11th, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 28th hit of the season gave Boise a 4-3 lead.

"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Román told the Boise Chronicle.
