Big Game from Harris Not Enough, Bombers Lose
|
South Carolina right fielder Shawn Harris had a good game, even if his team did not. The Bombers dropped a 10-7 decision to Maple at Legends Park. Harris went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Maple leads the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division by 3½ games.
The Marauders benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the third. With Motonobu Yamasaki at bat and Maple trailing 3-0, the South Carolina miscue allowed Maple to plate 2 and take the lead, 3-2.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Yamasaki.
