The Rock River Rats had no problem beating the Carson City Mustang, 11-3, at Cowboys Stadium. Harry May led the way. He was 4-6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Rock River. Colby Virella, credited with the win, is now 5-1. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits in 7.1 innings. The Rats bumped their record to 43-31 with this latest triumph.

Nelson Middleton, who is tied for 2nd in the FFL in home runs with 16, aided the Rock River cause with a 3-run home run in the top of the first. For the game, the center fielder was 1-5 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
