Victory Pushes Spartans Record to 39-35
|
The Sandy Springs Spartans topped the Madison Beehive by the score of 10-6, with the biggest share of the credit going to designated hitter Shoji Hosokawa. Hosokawa was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Spartans on the day. The Spartans bumped their record to 39-35 with this latest triumph.
Hosokawa had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the second inning, when he hit a 2-run single. The Spartans went on to win.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Hosokawa, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
