Predators Get Win, Extend Streak to 5
|
Topeka Predators starter Miguel Hinojosa was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Fraser Valley Black Bears, 4-1. Hinojosa went 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 6, and struck out 4. His record improves to 6-5. The 4th-place Predators have won 5 in a row.
Had Landen Jarman not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Jarman hit a 2-run home run. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Predators.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Topeka skipper Dan Jones.
