Black Knights Win at New York, 4-3
|
The Brooklyn Black Knights defeated the New York Mafia, 4-3. Earning player of the game honors was center fielder Kazuki Yamamoto, who was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs. The Black Knights bumped their record to 20-20 with this latest triumph.
The Black Knights got a big at-bat from second baseman Vittoriano Lussu. For the game, Lussu was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 11th hit of the season gave Brooklyn a 2-1 lead.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Brooklyn manager Diego Aguirre.
