Despite a great performance by Carson City left fielder Emory Drewry, the Fraser Valley Black Bears defeated the Mustang by the score of 8-5 at The Stetson Bowl. Drewry was 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Fraser Valley.

Had Cody Nelson not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Nelson hit a 2-run double. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Black Bears.

"It feels good to get this one," Nelson told the Fraser Valley Daily News.
