The Spokane Bulldogs got a superb performance from pitcher Julio Rivera. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Topeka. The Predators won the game, 6-1. In spite of the loss, Rivera was named the player of the game. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball. Topeka reliever César Quintana picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Tokuhei Yano absorbed the loss. Topeka has 3 straight wins, Spokane 3 straight losses.

Hiroshi Kajiwara made it 2-1, Topeka, in the top of the 12th when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It was a big at-bat in the Predators win.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Kajiwara said after the game.
