Hellcats Fall Short, 2-1, at Phoenix
|
The Phoenix Lights picked up a win at UFO Field, knocking off the Jacksonville Hellcats, 2-1. Starting pitcher Mauro Rodríguez was an essential part of his team's success. In 6.1 innings, Rodríguez surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 11 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. Juan Salinas, credited with the save, is now 10 for 11 in save opportunities.
Jim Bennett aided the Phoenix cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 2 with a walk.
