Kansas City and Oklahoma City duked it out at Memorial Circle Park and the Tornadoes came out victorious.

Kansas City Tornadoes starter Gerard Kotas was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Oklahoma City Prowlers, 7-5. Even with the win, the Tornadoes have a dismal 14-27 record.

With no one out in the top of the sixth, Matt Winters stroked a go-ahead run-scoring single. It was his 40th hit of the season and put Kansas City in front, 1-0.

"Enjoyed this one," Winters told the Kansas City Herald. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
