Bulldogs Turn Back Carson City, 6-4
|
The Spokane Bulldogs defeated the Carson City Mustang, 6-4, in Bob Moose League action at Cowboys Stadium, with Spokane pitcher Tom Bennett named player of the game. Bennett went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 4, and struck out 10. His record improves to 5-2. Cris Ayala converted his 4th save in 4 tries.
Chia-liang Li, who is tied for 9th in the FFL in home runs with 12, aided the Spokane cause with a 2-run single in the top of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman went 1-4. He drove in 2 runs.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Li. "And not try to do too much."
Spokane leads the Bob Moose League Bruce Bochy Division by 2˝ games.
