Spartans Get Road Win, 9-6
|
San Antonio center fielder Curt Sweet had a good game, even if his team did not. The Storm Troopers dropped a 9-6 decision to Sandy Springs at The Clone Army. Sweet was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Jae-bok Han converted his 3rd save in 4 tries. The Spartans bumped their record to 36-31 with this latest triumph.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out in the top of the fourth inning. That's when third baseman Todd Poliskin got hit by a pitch. The Spartans went on to win.
"You come to the ballpark to do your job and that's what I did today," Poliskin told the Sandy Springs News.
