Snaps Prevail, 6-4, Over San Antonio
|
The Cincinnati Snaps trumped the San Antonio Storm Troopers, 6-4, at The Studio. Cincinnati first baseman Evan Marks was named player of the game for his performance. He went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Cincinnati reliever Sergio Rodríguez picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Romain Quere absorbed the loss. Shinji Makino, credited with the save, is now 15 for 22 in save opportunities.
Marks had a key at-bat for Cincinnati early in the game. With a runner on 3rd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and gave Cincinnati an early 3-1 lead.
"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Marks. "I think we showed that here."
Even with the win, the Snaps have a dismal 21-44 record.
