Red Bulls Win at Youngstown, 7-3
|
The rain came, as predicted, but the Riverside Red Bulls and Youngstown Tune-Ups were able to complete their ballgame.
Riverside Red Bulls starter Héctor Bello was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Youngstown Tune-Ups, 7-3. Lien-ying Mar converted his 13th save in 14 tries.
Riverside used the timely hitting of Bill Kehoe to capture the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Red Bulls on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Kehoe. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
Riverside is now 35-30, while Youngstown is 30-36.
