Sandy Springs and Long Island duked it out at The Coliseum and the Spartans came out victorious.
The Sandy Springs Spartans grabbed a 4-2 win over the Long Island Ducks at The Coliseum. Sandy Springs left fielder Kieran Alexander went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk to earn player of the game honors. The Spartans bumped their record to 32-30 with this latest triumph.
Alexander had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a solo home run. The Spartans went on to win.
"I like what I saw today," said Sandy Springs manager José Parra, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
