Marauders Lose to Blazers, 4-3
|
The Bloomington Blazers beat the Maple Marauders, 4-3, at Arson Arena. The Blazers got a fine performance from catcher Eugene Axe, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Blazers bumped their record to 25-14 with this latest triumph.
Axe had a big at-bat with a runner on 3rd in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Blazers went on to win.
In postgame comments, Axe told the Bloomington Citizen: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
