Storm Troopers Can't Finish, Lose 5-3
|
The Carson City Mustang topped the San Antonio Storm Troopers, 5-3, in Bob Moose League action at The Clone Army. The player of the game was Carson City pitcher and West Bridgeford, England native Graeme Priday. The winner was Carson City reliever Keith Noble, now 6-0. The loser was Kent Whitten. Gerry LaForest was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 8 of 12 save opportunities.
Kyung-jin Yun hit a run-scoring triple off Evan Blandford in the top of the tenth, which put the Mustang in front, 4-3. Yun had 2 singles, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 3 for 5.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Yun.
The Mustang bumped their record to 32-28 with this latest triumph.
